OFFICIAL BOILERPLATE:

An audacious satirical concept album, 'The Somewhat British Museum: The Musical' combines the spectacle of musical theatre, the infectious hooks of modern pop, and the sharp wit of political satire to bring the world’s most polite geopolitical crisis to audiences around the globe.

'The Somewhat British Museum: The Musical' is the story of the world’s history, told by the people who took it, the people who keep it, and the people who are frantically trying to explain why it’s still there.

Featuring a genre-bending score that blends chart-topping pop, traditional sea shanties, power ballads, and bureaucratic patter songs, the album has taken the dry, legalistic debate of repatriation and created a "Hamilton for the looted generation" - a musical that explores the tension between preservation and theft, ownership and heritage.

The Narrative

From the stone-cold arrogance of the Victorian explorers to the bureaucratic panic of the modern office, the musical gives a microphone to the voices inside the building. It imagines a world where the Museum channels "Mean Girls" energy to gaslight Greece about the Parthenon Marbles, where the removal of the Benin Bronzes is sung as a jolly nautical adventure by the sailors who took them, and where the heartbreak of the collection is viewed through the eyes of those who watch over it day and night.

The Production & The Synthesis Fund

Conceived and produced by the anonymous artist known only as The Curator, the project is a pioneering work of synthetic media. Created in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence, the album uses tools of digital appropriation to critique an institution built on physical appropriation.

In direct response to this ethical paradox, this project marks the launch of The Synthesis Fund.

A portion of all proceeds will go directly to establishing this new financial grant, designed to support artists and creators whose livelihoods are threatened by generative AI. It is our hope that this model of "using the machine to feed the human" will set a precedent for other AI-assisted creators to follow.

The Somewhat British Museum opens to the public on December 3rd, 2025. Streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and TikTok.

An Invitation to Build a New Era of Creativity

The Vision: A Pact for a More Equitable Future

Technological leaps have always reshaped the creative landscape. The rise of generative AI is no different. The Synthesis Fund is our answer. It is a new social contract. designed to ensure that innovation enriches our creative ecosystem, rather than depletes it.

The Idea: A Model for Ethical Accountability

The core idea is simple: Acknowledgment and Action.

We envision a future where creators and companies using AI proactively invest in the human creativity that makes their tools possible. The model would be a voluntary "ethical offset" - a pledge to contribute a small percentage of revenue from AI-assisted projects back into the creative community.

This isn't a tax. It's a movement. A choice to build a more balanced and sustainable future for art.

The Challenge: Turning an Idea into a Reality (An Open Invitation)

This is a big idea, and it is just the beginning.

I am an artist, not a non-profit expert. This project was born from a creative spark, and the vision for The Synthesis Fund grew from the ethical questions the art itself demanded I confront.

But an idea without a structure is just a dream. To turn this vision into a functioning, impactful organization, we need a community. We need expertise. We need you.

This is an open call for collaboration. We are looking for passionate individuals to help us build the foundational pillars of The Synthesis Fund. Specifically, we are seeking advice, support, and partnership from people with experience in:

  • Non-Profit Law & Governance: To help us establish the correct legal structure and bylaws.

  • Charity Administration & Finance: To build a transparent and accountable financial framework.

  • Grant Writing & Philanthropy: To help us secure foundational funding and structure our aid programs.

  • Community Organizing & Advocacy: To help us build this pact into a global movement.

  • Web Development & Platform Design: To create the digital infrastructure for pledges and applications.

The Next Step: Our Founding Meeting

If you have skills in these areas and believe in this mission, we want to hear from you. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor and help shape the future of ethical creation.

Please fill out the form below to register your interest. We will be organizing a virtual founding meeting in the near future to bring together our initial team of collaborators, discuss the roadmap, and begin this vital work.

(Here you would embed a simple form asking for: Name, Email, Area of Expertise/Interest, and a brief message on why they are interested in helping.)
